This picture shows a man in the electric chair receiving the death sentence, or in Eighth Amendment terms, cruel and unusual punishment. The death penalty is something that many people believe should be no more and that America should do away with it.

This video explains the Eighth Amendment. In the video the Amendment is broken down into parts, spoken by employees from a prison in Missouri. After each part is broken down, it is then explained by an expert.

Amendment VII

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

The Seventh Amendment states that if what you are going to court for is over the amount of twenty dollars but due to inflation the current amount would be $523.69. One will also go to court recognized by the government with that case not being reexamined by any court in the U.S.

In this video, Vernon Glenn, gives a little more insight on the 7th Amendment and some bad and good things that come along with this Amendment.

Amendmetn VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

The Sixth Amendment states that anybody being prosecuted of a crime has the right to a public trial, where the jury is unbiased and informed of the nature of the crime committed. They are granted assistance (like lawyers) in trial and told what they are being accused for.

This video states the details behind the sixth Amendment from an actual lawyer.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

The Fifth Amendment gives citizens rights to a grand jury for criminal cases and forbids double jeopardy, which is being prosecuted twice for the same crime. Also, the Fifth Amendment protects the right for a person being tried to be a witness against himself, hence the phrase, "I plead the fifth". Lastly, the Fifth Amendment does not allow the government to take our property without compensation.

Wild 'N Out Plead the Fifth Game

In this video link above, on Nick Cannon's show, Wild 'N Out, they play a game called plead the fifth. Members of the opposing team ask questions to the other team's captain in an attempt to make them plead the fifth (not answer the question).

Here shows a video concerning real politics today in the case of Hillary Clinton. Clinton's IT experts plead the fifth at an oversight committee hearing over the alleged classified emails on an open server.
